About Verdict Consulting Group: we were built on a conviction. In a high-stakes matter, the analysis is too important to hand off to junior analysts once a senior team has won the pitch. That's how most firms staff a matter, which is why the managing director who pitched you can't answer a question about your own case at eleven at night. Our model is built on the opposite side of that gap.
The senior person you meet is the one doing the work. We're deliberately small and selective, taking engagements where rigorous analysis can change the outcome, and treating every finding as if it will be challenged. Response is measured in hours, not days, because there's no help desk between you and the answer, only clarity instead of a data dump.
Mitchell Hennessey

Mitchell builds the analytical foundation beneath counsel's legal theory, providing data analytics and litigation consulting support on complex disputes, investigations, and government inquiries across federal and state courts. He regularly works matters exceeding $50 million, including cases over $100 million alongside DOJ, SEC, and state regulatory investigations, spanning healthcare disputes, FCA/qui tam, RICO, trade-secret quantification, white-collar defense, and damages analysis. He stands up a purpose-built, HIPAA-compliant environment for each engagement and stays embedded through deposition, mediation, and trial. Mitchell holds a B.S. in Finance from The College of New Jersey and is HIPAA Certified, AWS Certified, and a CFE Candidate.
Chris Benson

Chris Benson is the reason the firm can process millions of healthcare claims and documents at the speed a matter demands. With more than 25 years in enterprise technology, he designs the AI systems architecture, large-scale data infrastructure, and eDiscovery platforms behind that capability, including the secure, HIPAA-compliant environments every matter runs on. Before co-founding Verdict, Chris was a Management Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising Fortune 500 clients on technology strategy and digital transformation, experience that shapes how he builds infrastructure that holds up under the pressure of high-stakes litigation. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington and a BBA from Texas A&M University.
Matt Wright

Matt Wright specializes in the financial, statistical, and data-driven analysis underlying complex litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters, developing defensible analytical frameworks and translating technical findings into clear, actionable insights. Before joining Verdict, he served as a systems engineer at Lockheed Martin on advanced aerospace and defense programs, and is also an accomplished NFL placekicker, a pursuit that instilled the discipline and poise under pressure he brings to every engagement. This multidisciplinary background lets Matt grasp complex issues across industries quickly, transforming large, unstructured datasets into analyses that withstand scrutiny from opposing experts and factfinders. Matt holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from UCF and is completing his MBA at Indiana University's Kelley School.
Damian Ruiz

Damian Ruiz brings over 13 years of healthcare experience to Verdict, having spent years immersed in claims data, billing records, and the operational detail beneath them, developing a practical command of how that information is generated, captured, and at times misstated. That grounding lets him navigate dense clinical and financial documentation with real fluency, telling genuine irregularities apart from ordinary noise. At Verdict, Damian helps counsel reconstruct what the record actually establishes and quantify it in terms that hold up in deposition, mediation, and trial. Healthcare remains the heart of his work, though the rigor behind it carries readily into other complex, high-stakes disputes.

Community
Service is part of how we operate. Our team helps lead two sister nonprofits, HANDS of North Arlington and Camp New Day, entirely volunteer-run organizations based in New Jersey that provide free and low-cost programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and the youth volunteers who serve alongside them. Both were founded to fill a gap many families face: support for adults with developmental disabilities often ends at 18.
HANDS and Camp New Day make sure that access to meaningful experiences, including an annual week-long camp trip to Pennsylvania, doesn't end there, too. Verdict Consulting Group also sponsored their 100 Years of Service Gala, an effort that has raised nearly $20,000 in support of their work.
We're also proud of iPads4Autism, founded by Chris Benson, a nonprofit giving children with autism a voice through communication devices and apps for children, clinics, and schools.
We dedicate time each year to causes where focus and follow-through make a difference, and we support the next generation of forensic, data, and financial professionals through mentorship and involvement in our field.
